The people on the other end of this phone have confirmed by letter they are delivering me a phone on 23rd August 2012 and that my current phone will be switched off on 26th. Ian from some unsolicited energy company telesales asking wanting to speak to the bill payer for the electricity supply. When told we were on the TPS register he kept himself on hold for a minute and said he had reported it to his manager. Well if they were a decent company they should be using the latest TPS register but obviously they are another scamming company flouting ALL the rules. This is a PPI scam. Best to listen politely and show interest before requesting that they ring you back on another number. Then give them the number of another known scammer and they should keep one another amused for a while. Suggested numbers of known scammers:- 01935 350190 and 01379 844163. Both these numbers have repeatedly rung me recently.
