Called just after 5 asked for me by name sounded like a call centre. Said he was calling about benefits and could I answer some questions for him and then he would never bother me again I hung up

Called me today claiming to be from Sky. He said my account would be suspended for 60 days because some lady called Angelina had tried to hack into my sky account. Got very aggressive when I told him I would not be logging onto my computer and then hung up on me.

There were no less than five calls from this number while I was out. I did not need to be told it was the criminals pestering me again as I have had so many of them. I had a marketing call from this number trying to sell me a new boiler. When I asked for their website the lady who introduced herself as Grace hung up.

So I emailed them and told them to remove my ex directory number immediately as they are contravening the new Data Protection Law and one more call and I will complain and they could incur as hefty fine, if I wanted their insurance I would call them, so Google Data Protection and go on their site, There is a link where you can complain. I know many people who will no longer answer their landline unless they recognise the callers number. It is businesses like IJT, boiler-room scams and PPI Claim companies who have changed the telephone from a useful tool and friend into a nuisance ridden pain in the arse. Well done everyone!
