Told me he had detected my wireless connection was slow and they had been monitoring it for two weeks on the DNS server. He said my computer had a virus and needed me to connect to the internet so he could fix it. I told him I was an IT manager and he was talking nonsense and to go forth and multiply. He rang back and replied likewise and called me derogatory names. Don t be fooled by callers from this number telling you your computer has a virus. Hang up!!!

No one there when I answered.

Some one phoned and asked to speak to me and I as asked who is it then they asked again and then hung up

Saw the random number and predicted immediately it would be an insurance scammer. Sure enough, English sounding girl on the phone asking about recent accident. I told her I don t want to participate in her scam. She paused a few seconds and told me she was just calling from an insurance company (didn t actually say a company name). I told her no she wasn t. This number just tried to obtain money from my elderly mother and was asking for ALL her bank details over the phone for some kind of washing machine insurance.
