This number called today and I didn t have time to Google it before answering. Said they were from American Express, only asked for half my postcode and they knew the type of card I held and how long I have had it. He was trying to sell an identity/credit rating protection (Platinum protect plus I believe). He was polite, when I said I wasn t interested he was pleasant. Claimed to be BT (or rather, "BT's outbound team, working for BT", rang my landline but also knew my mobile as they had a PIN sent to it. I said it was a scam and hung up.

told me I had won a prize then went on to ask for personal details. I was waiting for call from local doctors clinic which has 0845 number, so was the only reason I answered. Number now blocked.

Called about by my accident & hung up when I told them I never had an accident - timewasters

Caller stated that I or my husband had completed their medical information sheet within the last 12/18 months, which we had no knowledge of. He then went onto what aches and pains we suffer with, as this was part of their survey. Again we asked how they had our ex-directory telephone number, which he refused to answer. He was very persistent and we are concerned of a confidentiality breach of our personal medical information. We subsequently visited reviews of their website and comments about this companies

Keeps calling my wife to give debt advice not sure what debts they think they are, calls late evening.

Recorded message claiming we were the object of a law suit from HMRC. Asked to press 1 to return call. Obviously ignored it. NB: Selected "Unknown" for "Type of call / reason for calling" as none of the options matched the nature of the call.
