Called on the half hour (which is a dead giveaway for cold callers) - not payign attention so I hung up. Why do they do it? Wasting my time as well as theirs and I m not likely to answer a second time am I?? (barred call)

This number has been calling for month, plus this number has been ringing me sometimes right after each other and it is a nuisance sometimes 6 or 7 times a day. This was the first call from Hardy Evans Ltd. I got a name by trying to call back the number 01792764634 as I assumed that it might have been from one of job agancies. Wrong move. I hope thay will not start calling me everyday now. Is it there anyway to find out who is calling and what the purpose of those phone calls? thanks P
