This is British gas and they make appointments without asking you to install smart meters I went online and cancelled if you dont they will turn up and Ive read if you dont let them in or are out they will bill you for their time absolutely ridiculous

This number has called several times, including 9 calls today. Young man called Chris - claiming he’s an energy advisor in this area. Answered once - told him I’m not the property owner and he hung up. Just answered - told him I’d already spoken to him and he just said “nice talking to you” and hung up.

I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Re The failed bank payment, the bank itself stopped this money and when I spoke to my bank it was decided that the £149 seemed high for an anti viral program and there was a possibility of fraud. Think it’s a scammer on FB, has hacked into an account on there and pretending to be a widower living in Bedford. The phone is being used in the Preston area. I have blocked before he tries to extract money from me. He will not send current face photo with today’s date in his hand so I know it is a scammer. The FB profile hacked looks very American not Uk. Hope this helps.

Looks like another Scam or Fraud as I'm not due any delivery's and the Post Office leave a card through your door when they can't get an answer, also I was in the whole day, I have reported the text message and number to the Ofcom scam text number: 7726 must be the 7th number I've reported now since I found the number to report scams to. Various numbers starting with 02394 have called since 29 March 2023 Conversations include: "This is not a Marketing call, blah, blah" "Survey of Loft insulation, blah,blah" "When first caller was asked where speaker was calling from, answer was "The Phillipines"(Sp ?) When subsequent callers have been asked the same question the line has 'dropped out' from the far end! Make your own decision!

Number appears on a fake PayPal 'You've got a money request'. It is part of a warning that there has been suspicious activity on your (PayPal) account and to call this number - +44-808-196-3116. This is a fake warning added by the scammers, it is NOT a legitimate message from PayPal. If you call the number the Operator will ask to have access to your PC. This is likely where the scam will take place; either malware, key logger or worse.
Getting so fed up with calls from this number, and others including what appear as mobiles, telling me that my "home appliance insurance" with them has expired, or is about to expire, and asking for my bank details so that it can be renewed. Very strange that the company insuring me (they're not, of course) has no idea what appliances I have. Calls coming 2-4 times each day.
This contact number is Business Energy Compare and telecommunications Group. They are a trusted and compliant company based in Morecambe, Lancashire registered with companies house and handle business energy services, including telecommunications
