This number calls most days, and say they have heard from the advice bureau that someone at this address has had an accident in the last two years. This is not correct so I say definitely not and put the phone down.

Yes, they are still operating and looks like they are having a New Year hunt for more people to con, as several friends have had calls from them over the past few days. I take great delight in stringing them along for as long as possible, listening to them get more and more frustrated as I keep asking questions about their blocking box . 3 calls last week. What I found out is. This number can be from a company which install remote software on your computer and will trigger a crash and ring you at the same time to fix it. Pests!

I keep receiving calls from this number despite blocking it - they sometimes phone up to five times a day! They always ask for Andrew, the idiot who must have mistyped his mobile number when downloading a report or who knows what from this "financial" crowd. I ve asked them politely to remove my number from their database ... to no avail. I ve said I m going to report them to the police if they keep calling me, which usually makes them put down the phone if I don t beat them to it!

Female caller, Indian accent, gave name something like Mindy, claimed to be from Talk Talk. Obviously long delays between exchanges, nothing like usual UK call quality.

Received a voicemail on our landline that we should return the call on 02032899210 as someone in the house was being investigated by HMRC Did not return the call.

I had a recorded call saying that they were HMRC and I should press 1 to have the problem resolved. I immediately hung up.
