In this type of scam, the sender, generally through an email, requests help in facilitating the transfer of a substantial sum of money. In return, the sender offers a commission, usually in the range of several million dollars. The scammers then request that money be sent to pay for some of the costs associated with the transfer. Once money is sent to the scammers, they will either disappear immediately or try to get more money with claims of continued problems with the transfer.
Not sure which company this is, but they appear to be in Belfast. Always an Asian voice, gets very abusive if you ask them not to call back.

I received a pre-recorded message from this number claiming that an unauthorized payment has been taken from my Amazon account and that an unauthorized international transfer has taken place from my bank account. I believe this to be a SCAM so, beware!!

I answered the phone and an automated voice said that I had committed tax fraud and that If I did not press 1 to speak to someone about it. I would be arrested shortly. needless to say I hung up.

Calls several times a day up to 9.30 pm incl. weekends. Answered once by mistake and a woman asked for my wife as she had spoken to her before. When told not married the woman hung up. Absolute nuisance calling so many times.

Advertising Scams. Try to get you to place ads on non existent magazines etc. Pretend to record calls so do not agree to anything. Used to use withheld numbers but now resorting to mobiles to get round call blocking.

Called my elderly grandad just now (isn?t the first time). He couldn?t understand him so passed the phone to me. An Indian man calling from ?Remote Security? and enquiring about a ?computer or laptop in your house? I told him we didn?t have either and he carried on trying to talk, so I repeated that we didn?t have either and to not call again and he hung up. Obtained my details inc address following a small car accident. Gave me some story about the other guy putting in a claim for whiplash and said I could also claim. I received a text, supposedly from HSBC, advising me that a "payment was attempted to a new payee" and including the following link: https://hs-mobilebanking-paymentsupport.com/hsbc/login The link page it directs you to looks the same as the genuine HSBC login page BUT it is a hoax - DO NOT USE THIS WEBPAGE TO ACCESS YOUR ACCOUNT. As I said, it looks good but the give-away is the fact that the links on the page do not work.
