SCAM Amazon call. Phoned the number back and it was a private number. Spoke to a lady who it was nothing to do with. Looks like these scammers are now now using peoples private numbers for the id that comes up on the phone.

This person pretends to be a female on internet dating sites. Pretends to be female with the name Sally. The individual is actually a man who tricks people on meeting for a coffee, never shows himself and only text messages while he can see the other person. Individual resides in the South Coast of England region such as Hastings, St Leonard s. Absolutley do not trust this number.
This number just called me and when I answered said "Hello, Mr ...." and when I responded just huing up

I get calls regularly from this number. When I pick up they hang up. It's definitely a call centre and I am sick and tired of it!

SCAM Fortunately, I have TruCaller home phone so pushed it straight to the "waiting" queue and as they didn't leave a message or say who was calling did not route through to the actaual phone ring. I already had this number blocked on my Mobile and in Malwarebytes as it claimed to be from BT saying there was a problem with my broadband... when I mentioned that I worked for BT as a fault engineer they immediately hung up :)

Eventually had about 5 calls a day from this number. never answered as my caller id said it was from jersey otherwise I would ve picked up a mobile number. rang them a few times before only for it to be cut straight off. eventually got through, threatened them with personal harassment and dealing with contacting me using unsolicited information. asked them to remove me off their system as politely as possible. fingers crossed that s all.
I got a missed call from them at 17.15pm this evening. so I got online to checkout the number, so glad I did. It s a scam. Will not be answering my phone to them in near future.

SCAM I leave my answerphone on permanently for call screening. This number called this morning and the recorded message must have started before the answerphone greeting had finished with the result that I only got a very small part of the message left. Lady called stating I had a recent car accident blah. Asked her how she got my number. She stated they got it from the Road Traffic Accident Claim Department. I said I d never heard of it. Was it a Government department. Long silent pauses at the other end. Repeatedly asked her to spell the name of her company. She rang off. Surprise surprise. Funnily enough I had been speaking to my insurance company (Covea) only 30 mins before asking how these scumbags get my mobile number. They don t know!

Got a call from this number through TU Go app at precisely the same time as a call from a PPI company through my phone (which I didn t answer either) from 01792 211847 a PPI number. Are they linked?
