this number called twice today. luckily i wzs busy and they weny to VM. listened to message...some foteign language muttering. indecipherable.. number searched and blocked.

Basically they re a fishing company, poorly-paid scammers doing blanket cold calling asking "have you had an accident in past 3 years" (citing they have bogus "information at hand") until, inevitably, someone says "yes". Cue then a selling job about how they can claim compo for you (for a % price). Not a scam; just a sad reflection of compensation culture and call-centre mentality. Hang up immediately; or if you want to be arsey, engage person in pointless conversation (though it isn t really his/her fault)

Likewise, I received a call from this number today. I didn't answer it and they left no message. Sounds like it is probably ppi related spam?

Claimed that HMRC were filing a lawsuit against me and I was to press 1 to speak to my caseworker. Number now blocked even though we’re registered with TPS.

Used car warranty company wanting to extend the warranty which came with my recent second hand car purchase.

Nuisance caller when I tried to ring them back to ask them to stop pestering us I couldn t get through to them. As I was completing this the phone rang again. I tried to explain that we didn t want calls from them. The bloke said "with all due respect mate we ve never rang you before". What a shithouse even though I told him we have been plagued by them. Unfortunately he had a scouse accent as I do myself. Surely there are better jobs to be doing than this.

Claiming to be from Citizens Advice who apparently have been informed about my outstanding debt status. Is this not a gross breach of one of the 8 principles of the Data Protection Act? Scum caller, and yes i meant to write scum.
