SCAM - I had a missed call & voicemail from this number. The voicemail was a recorded message in a male American voice asking to call back on the number. They called again, so I answered. He same recorded American Male voice started talking, saying he was someone calling from HMRC to discuss a case with me, and to call him back before "the lawsuit" against me went to "local county court". Amazon scam from Asian call centre. Supposed fraudulent transaction on my Amazon account. Asked me to give six number code sent to me in SMS from Amazon - This was my two step verification code to change my password. All they need to get this sent to you is your Amazon account linked phone number. I did of course refuse.
A few minutes after my last nuisance call, which was from the Talk Talk impersonators, I got this one - from the p.p.i. pests using a number they had not used for me before. Only a couple of days ago their recorded message was saying it was their final attempt to contact me, but telling lies is habitual for them. I estimate I have had a hundred calls from these people. I look forward to the day they are prosecuted. They are making money out of people s naivety so I hope they get fined heavily.

Don't know who called me from this number. I jumped out of bed when the phone rang but I didn't pick up as I didn't recognise the number. It was 7:36 am ffs! Even the sun was still in bed where I live in Greater Manchester and I do't even know where Thanet is, never mind why someone from there would be phoning me at an ungodly hour. I highly suspect this was a scam call.

SCAM Had these people phone me up on another number pretending to be the national crime agency, using an automated message. When rumbled and blocked they tried again using this number to pretend to be an insurance broker, again using the same tactics with an automated message which made it obvious that it was the same people. Do not trust, just block them.

Girl with indistinct squeaky voice ... eventually ... poor line but could make out "... accident that was not your fault ..." This came 5 minutes after another "unknown" number that I had just checked on this site and now know know who it was, because I need my tumble dryer fixing before it bursts into flames.
These people rang my pay as you go mobile I have for emergencies.I don t often give out my number but it is registered as a contact number with my dogs microchip details which comes with 4 weeks free insurance.
Said they were from carphone warehouse (a redundant company) and were trying to sell me a new contract despite my contract not being up for renewal.

A woman called saying she was from my internet provider and the line would be getting cut of, she then suggested that I press one and speak to a supervisor, this is the third such call today. |I of course put the phone down but I'm sure these calls will continue until the police take it seriously and stop what are dangerous attempts to defraud.
