My broadband/TV Box price has now been frozen by them for 18 next months, (EE previously sent me warning it would be going up at end of contract date) and a free upgrade to super-fast broadband, from fast. Sounded like an Indian Call Centre saying they were calling regarding my computer. I told them I knew it was a scam and asked them not to call again. They called back again immediately insisting it was not a scam. I hung up and googled the number then found this site.

Silent caller - answered phone at 14.24 heard just background switching noises - obviously an auto - dial system which is supposed to switch you to a call handler once you speak.

I didnt have the same experience. I had a man Joe something tell me he could offer me financial flexibility as i have been approved for a loan... on what grounds???

This number has called me 6 times over as many day it rings once then they hang up so frustrating how can I find out who this is without ringing them.

Basically they re a fishing company, poorly-paid scammers doing blanket cold calling asking "have you had an accident in past 3 years" (citing they have bogus "information at hand") until, inevitably, someone says "yes". Cue then a selling job about how they can claim compo for you (for a % price). Not a scam; just a sad reflection of compensation culture and call-centre mentality. Hang up immediately; or if you want to be arsey, engage person in pointless conversation (though it isn t really his/her fault)

Today 12.11. 1.35pm have received a call from this number. Scottish Power guy start asking questions about who is my supplier for gas and energy and trying to persuade me to switch for saving money. The very noisy background at the other end and too many questions made me feel very suspicious. Hung up the phone and added the number to my blocked numbers list.

Tried to get me to complete a phone survey, politely explained that I don’t do surveys and suddenly called me a m***** f****** b****!! Lovely!

rang on a mobile number, told me she was from FAC calling about a recent car crash (I ve never had a crash) and then acted all confused. Didn t trust them at all
