Somebody tried to sell us insurance on our Bosch washing machine said our current insurance was abut to run out. Was interested in debit card details!!! We have never had washing machine insurance. A new form of scam
The PEST is: Domestic & General :( They are a cold-calling pest phishing for new Loft Insulation contracts. I have automated calls on a daily basis for 2 months now - 3 rings and they hang up - never leaving a message. I wish the government would provide the regulators with some teeth to prosecute all these highly persistent phone pests making MULTIPLE nuisance calls. I changed my number relatively recently to avoid this, and I m ex-directory and I ve "opted out" so they should check before they call.

My husband has unfortunately been duped by this company - Clearview partnership. Started with hard sale on Carbon emmisions and he unfortunately has since gone on to invest large sums of money in gems and oil. Portfolio of investment was supposed to go to auction Dec 13. Usual thing - one quick part-ring then disconnect. The idea being to get you to ring high-cost number back. Don t - no reputable caller with something worth saying would call you from (or appearing to be from) an 0843 number.
Caller claimed to be from Vodafone, the phone line was poor quality, asked for my PIN number on the account before doing anything. I hung up.

I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year.
