I just got a call from this number about PPI ,trying to confirm my details etc. I played along for about ten minutes then called his bluff. He started cursing and swearing at me down the phone but seemed a little taken aback when I gave him far worse than anything he was saying to me.

Call from 0161 850 7546 claiming to be HMRC and that I was being sued for unpaid tax - starting laughing and hung up. Luckily I am not a little old lady who could have been terrified by such a call.

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. Similar numbers are reported as a telemarketing - scam PPI calls. Did someone answer any number of this range? All the above info re talktalk scam is correct. Female left two messages saying I would be disconnected from Talktalk immediately unless I spoke to their agent by pressing button '1'. Do not fall for it. May I suggest best advice is not to answer and block call.
