Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 2038684xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with insurance marketing, accident chasers, PPI claims, "car accident which was not your fault". Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new, new scope, or still the same story?

Claimed to be Amazon. It’s the iPhone 11, 12, 13 scam. Order on hold due to suspicious activity. £1400. Told him I was logged into my Amazon account and there was no suspicious order. I asked him if he was sure he was from Amazon and not Orinoco, Congo, Limpopo or some other river. But he didn’t seem to see the joke.
This number phoned today. Was an automated phone call saying they were phoning from my credit card after it was used on Amazon and Western Union. . Though I used to work in fraud and security. I can assure you when fraud from the bank phone you they do not use a automated robot to do it. Also they do not give you details of the transactions involved they ask you to check your account and confirm irregular payment going in or out. . Have had three calls from this number this afternoon at 3.53pm; 5.11pm and 5.52pm. First caller said she called to help me stop nuisance calls - i.e. like this one! This was followed by two men calling later. Number now blocked.
