Claiming to be from Amazon. Its a local STD code to me but the number it called I have never given to Amazon. So I'd say its spam.

Dropped what I was doing & raced downstairs to answer persistent call. Man with an unidentifiable accent garbled something against a cacophony of background noise sounding like the Call Centre from Hell. I asked him to repeat his sentence. This number is indeed Eon. Very polite message left on ansphone. No return calls to that number - they left the 0345 customer service number in message to ring back.

I jsut had a call from a sweet man give me this whole spiel about Great Ormand Street Hospital. I know great hospital etc. In the end I didnt donate because i am not in the position to financially, otherwise he nearly had me there. Other threads on the net suggest that this was a hoax. I am not sure. People be aware..but don t forget to care!
