Unlike the preceding reports of nuisance calling, someone from this number just tried on a criminal scam with me, which I quickly recognised from a prior attempt a couple of years ago: Offer of a "refund" of ?2000 compensantion of a Barclays loan mis-selling - all nonsense, as I havent had any kind of loan in years. The scam is that you will get ?2000 couriered to you, but you have to write some kind of money order to make it all happen - I didnt give them time to give all the details, as I soon recognised

Got a call from an asian sounding bloke at 08:00 this morning claimimg he was from the Monistry of Justice and that I was due a £6251 from overpayment in fees to my bank. Said I would get the cheque from a courier, David French, with a Job ID of D102. The reference for the refund was 32568, which was most important. One of their advisors would call me back within an hour. Googled the MofJ and they work out of LONDON not MANCHESTER. Well, I ve now waited 1 1/2 hours and no call back, so I guess I m not getti

Scam from a company that will ask to get money from you through a voucher (3V prepaid voucher) because they say:"You have been accepted for a personal loan". By any cost, do not believe them, trust me, I have been there. They just take your money, and that s it, you have to pay more and more charges after that. So DO NOT FALL FOR THIS BULLSHIT.
SCAM Caller claimed to be from Domestic insurance and the insurance on my electrical appliances was about to run out and they needed my card details to reinsure, After running my own appliance repair company for over 30 years, I wouldn’t be a very engineer if I need to insure my own appliances. A recorded voice indicates an outstanding tax issue. Asking you to press 1 to be connected. Failure to do so will result in a warrant for your arrest (on the grounds of tax fraud) being issued. Her Majesty's Inspector of taxes would not phone if there was an issue. They would write to you. They know your address, but fraudsters and scammers like this do not. Do not press to accept the call. if you do they will know the number is in use an probably sell your number on to more scammers.
