In response to your comment Tony M please dont be so rude as to imply others are uneducated this number is a pain in the arse. They are now ringing my husbands mobile using one of their other numbers 0161 826 5780 all times of day they dont answer you when you pick it up there is always a voicemail message directing you to hold for their accounts dept and they DENY they are workin for Orange when you do get through so check your facts are correct before making rude assumptions about others.

SCAM Community initiatives associates used to scam money for their Community Aware magazine run by 2 brothers Ian and Steve Jackson. Since then they have moved on to School Book scams fronted by a Kelly Griffiths under the name of Embrace Education based in Chester. It’s very rare the books get sent out, and only do if you check with school and ask for money back.

Phoning persistently over the past few days from different numbers. Some kind of survey scam, but they hang up as soon as you deviate from script. If they call, don t give away any personal info: don t even confirm your name. Instead, try to politely find out their company name and address. Then send details to offcom / TPS / your MP etc (perhaps with a similar level of persistence?), until someone does something. It s just an idea. Good luck!
SCAM - I had a missed call & voicemail from this number. The voicemail was a recorded message in a male American voice asking to call back on the number. They called again, so I answered. Very well spoken male gave his name as Christian informed me my washing machine insurence had expired and he was calling with regard to me renewing it. I was suspicious of this and asked the name of his company which he informed me was White Goods UK. As I have never heard of them I asked which washing machine and he said theBosch.
