Liars about car accidents

I don t think I m an unkind person, but I do sometimes wish that those liars who make unsolicited calls telling people that their computer has a virus would contract a "VIRUS" themselves and lose the power of speech.

Said they were calling from Domestic and General - a company we do have an account with already. Said we were a valued customer and had qualified for a discount. Originally I contacted them from a referal from my sister as they contacted her about a video games tester job which applied more to me. They called me back within 20mins which was strange and then never let up. I thought they were sketchy from the start o talking to them, again some indian guy with bad connection, and would call 3-4 times day plus sending emails about his job offer, I didnt know anything about them apart from some company name so I searched it and found this!!

Advertising Scams. Try to get you to place ads on non existent magazines etc. Pretend to record calls so do not agree to anything. Used to use withheld numbers but now resorting to mobiles to get round call blocking.

Obtained my details inc address following a small car accident. Gave me some story about the other guy putting in a claim for whiplash and said I could also claim. Called and said they were "UK Insurance Group" regarding a recent minor collision. Told them that if they were genuine, they were misinformed, but that I suspected they were cold callers trying to scam me. When asked to give evidence of their identity, or details of when and where this collision supposedly took place, they hung up.
