Fraud – non-specific bank claiming that money had been taken from one of our cards and had been transferred abroad. Checked all cards and no transactions matching the amount specified have been attempted to be taken from account. Didn’t press any buttons on phone and call just ended after a few seconds.

I said hello, they waited a good 3 seconds before playing an automated message saying they were from the national crime agency. I hung up at this point as the NCA will always be a person on the other end.

SCAM / SPAM This was an English speaking polite male telling me that the Government funded insulation in my loft could be causing damage to my property and he wanted to arrange a visit to examine it. Fortunately before the call went any further he mentioned the "foam insulation" and when I said it was not foam in my loft he rang off. OBVIOUSLY A SCAM. He didn't get round to asking for bank details but I am sure he would have it I hadn't realised what he was up to.

Apparently the TPS web server is down, so they had to contact me by phone and not email. This is the 2nd similar call today. My TPS registration will expire tomorrow. Do not believe them, as TPS *never* phone customers!!

Claims it is from a well known Telecom Company and Broadband provider (it is not). It is an attempt to get access to your computer. They will state that you have had broadband issues that they have picked this up from your hub (extremely unlikely, it is impossible to monitor every hub any ISP provides). It is an attempt to get remote access to your computer. ISP's do not use mobile numbers, they will always do a check as to who you are, these people do not even ask who you are as they do not know.

Rang at 6.30pm - I didn t recognise number so let ansafone take it - they didn t leave a message. I checked on this site to see who they were, so when the same number rang again at 7.20pm I answered (to wind them up!). A very polite sounding chap with an Indian (or similar) accent explained that he was carrying out a survey for ???????? I missed the call but then the number 07775555028 sent me a text message to say "Voicemail message received 10:34 on 13th Jul. Duration 6s. Click or call 22215 to hear this message at your normal call rate." which all seems very scammy. The number 22215 was linked so I wouldn't say its safe to click it.
