SCAM.. spoke to two men both with very strong foreign accents who's English was very poor could barely understand what they was saying. They tried saying they worked for sky and that my broadband had flagged problems over to their head office so wanted me to go on my laptop so they could show me. I immediately checked my sky account through the legitimate app on my phone and ran tests which all came back fine.. all felt dodgy right from the off and when asked to go on my laptop I hung up..

An automated computer call to test if the connection is a voice line, if you speak your number will be listed and you'll be called back by an agent - who will usually be trying to SCAM YOU. SOLUTION: Whenever the phone rings with a number you don't recognise DON'T SAY HELLO OR MAKE ANY OTHER SOUND! Always wait for the caller to speak first. SCAM Claims to be from HMRC fraud department and threatens arrest if you do not 'press 1 to connect'.
They rang me today lady with a strong asian accent, knew my name and postcode. (I didn t tell them they was correct with my name etc) when I ask who they was she gave a name I didn t believe. When I ask what the company was, she replied with f##k you and hung up. Absolute morons!!!!!

I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Re The failed bank payment, the bank itself stopped this money and when I spoke to my bank it was decided that the £149 seemed high for an anti viral program and there was a possibility of fraud. Also, I had not received any notificat
