The guy who called could hardly speak English and said that I needed to update all of my details with him today otherwise, no one would be able to reach me by telephone or via my web site. I asked who he was calling from and he didn t say, so i asked him to delete my number from his call list. I think he then said he would ensure my entire records would be deleted and slammed down the telephone. Bon Chance!!
Just received a call from these people claiming to be providing access to some sort of discount club and that they would send a welcome pack in the post. They asked how many holidays I have a year and whether they are abroad or not (in hindsight maybe that’s to determine disposable income). They asked who I bank with and I refused to answer. we were called in Cape Town from this number inquiring about stopping a supposed unauthorised credit card payment. This appears to be a scam.
Traced this call it led to a field in Clitheroe, this is Northern England.. I class this as dangerous.
SCAM: 07770 034516 is a recorded message claiming to be from the National Crime Unit & that your National Insurance number has been suspended & that you need to click 1. Like other similar scams it is an attempt to scare individuals into giving personal & financial details over the phone.

An automated message comes up saying the call is from HM Revenue & Customs, gives you a case file number, and says if you ignore the call, you will face legal applications. Then asks you to press 1 to speak to an adviser. The advisor distantly says she is calling from the HMRC and asks for your name. When I asked her where are you calling from again, she hung up.

This is a company called Business Advisory Services who appear to be a genuine energy broker but they are aggressive and pushy on the phone.
