Caller claimed she was from BT and that other people were using my internet line. She wanted me to test something using my computer. She knew one of my email addresses, but not the one provided by BT. She gave daft or evasive answers to my questions. This appears to be a scam with the aim of getting me to provide personal details or perhaps remote access to my computer.

called on me on mobile asking my name and address and saying that I had been in an accident over the last year (I haven t) I laughed at the caller, told her I don t drive (which I don t)and don t have a car (which I don t). My mother-in-law has just found a charge for ?99.99 on her Barclays statement. I ve just spoken to the bank and they have been 100% helpful and have agreed to refund her ASAP.
