Phoned my landline on 20 Jan. 2023 pertaining to be from Amazon Prime and stating that they had taken £94 from my bank account. I was offered a number of options to query this but hung up as it was obviously a hoax call. Amazon Prime would not contact in this way. They tried again on 21 Jan., this time from a different number 01216834924.

Over the last two weeks there have been a number of High Wycombe calls, which are trying to con you about Amazon prime, silence, or a annoying hiss. This particular call is an annoying hiss. I have collected about 16 numbers in this time period of the same ilk.

This number has called constantly the past few days, always on my mobile first and when I don't answer that, they ring my landline, straight away. No message is ever left, really annoying. I've now blocked the number on both my mobile and my landline - if it's important they should have left a message, so I can only assume it's a scam or aggressive sales.

I'm not too certain about the caller, as he started off by saying both my Company name & personal name, & he'd obviously "done his homework" as when I asked him who was calling, he said the name of my provider. Caller said he was Virgin Media Technical Department and believed I was having trouble with my internet speed. He wanted me to do a speed test but when I said that I couldn't do that he disconnected. I've been with Virgin for many years and they've never phoned me in the past. As far as I'm aware, Virgin never phone customers when there's any problem so I'm rating this call as dangerous.

This call came immediately after I hung up on 0161 523 1720, a storm damage claim company. Probably linked and probably unsafe. Both now blocked.
Missed the first bit but then mentioned magistrates court and taking it seriously and to talk to one of the officers dealing with the case press 1 - blocked!
