Started with a request to hold to be connected. After that I heard 4-5 rings and then got disconnected. Previously a similar number tried to scam me into giving them money for some sort of bonds that sounded more than sketchy.

Pretending to be from Amazon and saying that I had a £900 transaction taken from my Amazon account and wanted me to follow their instructions and put a code in my phone I told him to call me back in 10 minutes as my daughter would be speak to him and she works with the police he hung up. I did know it was a scam that’s why I said it. I just feel sorry for the people that they do trap as they are scum. If you don’t No them hang up. And don’t give them any of your details.

This number seems to be used for a classical telemarketing, or it is a directly some general call centre. They usually work for some third company and call with offer of some goods or services for the actual company they were hired for. In this case the number is mostly reported in connection with EE, but they ask for your credit card or account details, this is a scam call... Block the number.

It's close to a frequent unsolicited Readers Digest Equity Release number - I've had calls from both numbers and it's possible they're both the same caller?
Received an automated message purporting to be from Barclays saying there had been attempted fraudulent activity on my old Barclaycard and that they would text me details. This they did, saying that they would call me from 01628778331. The scammers have ways of making a call appear to come from a genuine number. The call appeared to come from this number and they asked for my new card number and DoB. After the call was finished, I thought about it and called the Barclay's Customer Service number on the back

The phone network this came from is Nexbridge who specialise in hosting telemarketing call centres: http://www.callcentrehelper.com/nexbridge-communications-40032.htm "Nexbridge provides high volume telecoms services to call centres. With hardware hosted in multiple UK data centres" They also do "bulk" SMS advertising: http://bulksmsdelivery.com/ If I could block their entire network I would do so in a heartbeat.
