He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Re The failed bank payment, the bank itself stopped this money and when I spoke to my bank it was decided that the £149 seemed high for an anti viral program and there was a possibility of fraud. Called for days without speaking until today pretending to be from "Merchant Review". Asking to speak to "whoever is in charge of the merchant account" when told we don't have a credit card machine they hanged up. Very fishy.

Received call from Automated message claiming to be HMRC chasing TAX and would start legal action soon if nothing is received, press 1 to speak to an officer. Checked HMRC, portal, email and letters and nothing wrong. Appears to be a scam but cannot confirm due to HMRC not working Saturdays :/

I pressed 1, and told the guy I was confused to the message and he hung up. The phone code is my local town but the guy was Indian. DONT GIVE OUT YOUR CARD NUMBER TO ANYONE OVER THE PHONE GUYS!!!!

Scam exceptionally aggressive Micheal Masterson (suspect not his real name) bitcoin salesman who said to a female, quote "I'm recording this and all your calls, you are not even a human to me, I'm going to report you to the financial industry standards, you dickhead, do you want me to report you for not answering my questions?" I'd told him that I was not interested in and that I had told the previous 43 callers the same! Does the phone blocking facility ever get full? Hope not.

Received this call today. It came approximately 30 minutes after a call from a Cambridge number 01223 931995. The Cambridge number went dead on answering. The 01330 563426 number allowed me to answer, and an automated message said it was the HMRC and that I would be fined. You could press 1 to talk to an agent. I hung up. You cannot ring back.
