SCAM - I am getting this number call daily. I answered it today and a woman with a heavy Indian accent, told me she was from the Technical Department at Sky. SCAM Told me I had been in a car accident . I pretended I had but obviously i haven't. He was very aggressive asking me if I had claimed any money from the accident as it obviously was not my fault ( Never been in an accident ).Continued to ask if I had claimed for my accident getting even more aggressive. As in the other comment I was told to ring 01642850850 - this is useless. It asks you to give the name of the person and offers no other option. Since I don t know who called I was at a dead end
Tried to alert me to a problem with my debit card - obvious scam
This is a genuine Santander Fraud Department number. However I suggest you always call your bank using the number on the back of your Debit/Credit Card to check. This what I did and it was confirmed my Debit Card was being used by criminals, so needed cancelling and replacing.
Calls persistently, don’t answer, leaves automated message asking to call back about products and services.
