Saw the random number and predicted immediately it would be an insurance scammer. Sure enough, English sounding girl on the phone asking about recent accident. I told her I don t want to participate in her scam. She paused a few seconds and told me she was just calling from an insurance company (didn t actually say a company name). I told her no she wasn t. Received call from 01438 811946 today at 11-50 am. Despite saying hello 3 times the caller rang off without saying anything

Caller initially claimed to be calling from the University of Sussex, asking me to undertake an online research survey. Then they wanted our email address, and I enquired why was that necessary if the survey was online - all they needed to do was provide me with the web address. The caller later later confirmed they were an independent market research company , and continued to ask for my email address. Of course, I never provided it.
