Called my wife today. Indian gentleman called Rick. Same spiel as previously reported. Why doesn t BT put these people off-line. BT must be aware of this scam but choose to ignore it as they make money out of the scammers calls. Get your finger out BT!!

Fraud Caller had a strong accent and spoke poor english. There was a lot of background noise as you would expect from a call centre. Asked to speak to my husband but did not mention his first name. Claimed to be from the Fraud dept of Visa Debit but did not say which bank had issued the card. She asked for no security checks. Spoke about unauthorised transaction. They began calling last year and I blocked them. Then they call from a different number. They started from a London number 020 something and then they began calling from my town 01308 294566. The last time was 25/02/16. I called the number back but an automated voice told me it was not an important financial matter and hung up. I m a disabled pensioner. It is either an educated young man or a young woman who tries to keep me on the phone and continues to ask me about accidents. I hung up on her.
Calls then hangs up - beware of scam!!

Noisy background, almost bellowed down the phone to me! Asked for me by name and said they were calling from the National Workers Union, asking if I d ever worked in a noisy environment. I hung up at this point.

This number is a SCAM. I just received a call from a man telling me he had my file in front of him and I have some unsecured debts. When I told him that I do not have any debts he hung up immediately and didn't even say goodbye. Clearly not a genuine debt advice agency because they would never hang up in such a manner. Avoid at all costs.
