A young Welshman phoned my mobile today. After an unusual and suspicious delay ("Hello? Hello? HELLO?") he introduced himself as representing Winchester and Deakin and said that the call concerned my credit or some such nonsense. Wanted me to do some kind of survey to do with the pandemic, wouldn't take no for an answer so I said I'm at work and can't talk now. He then proceeded to try and call another 8 times that day but I ignored them all!

This number called me to say that my number has been used in a serious number of crimes and my national insurance number will be suspended if I don’t press 1 to talk to someone. This isn’t real as the police would ring me directly or turn up at my house, not use an automated voice message to tell me. I hung up instead of pressing 1.

Had two calls from this number. They hung up when I asked them to prove who they were in response to being asked for my security details. Spoke to Orange and demanded to have the calls stopped or as a loyal customer I will leave Orange. Lots of excuses but they accepted in end. I will leave if it happens again!

73p access charge an 7p. A short ring received and stop so knew it was a scam, but trying to delete from my missed calls, my phone dialled the number and I ended the call but not quick enough, so charged. Obviously a scam to may you call back a premium number and make money from their charges.
