I this is a search i made for Matalan in Newcastle upon tyne I pponed the number as i wished to speak to customer servie. A male voice spoke to me saying you have reached your credit please press one to make a payment, I dony have any credit withe matalan. I thought this was a bit fishy so i blocked the number. then i asked my husband to phone the number from his old Nokia phone. the reply was. This number has been blocked. hmmm was it a scam or what. this was my experience, I hope my comments help.

Lady with Indian accent claiming to be from "The Phone House Company" and wanting to upgrade me to a new iPhone 11. I asked how they have my number and she said from a shared database of all UK providers, although this would seemingly breach GDPR for sharing customer's contact details and wouldn't make sense for the businesses to risk losing customers this way. This number rang me at 1102am today, did not answer as I did not recognise the number, and it is not in my contacts list. Thought it was a scam call and I may be right judging by the search results.

Claimed to be a call from BT informing me that my internet was going to be suspended due to my connection being compromised and asking for details of users and devices.

Odd call. I picked up the phone and said hello and was answered (by a robot ?) which said goodbye. Methinks an obvious scammer.

They won't be calling again. Block these scammers. Disgusting behaviour. Usual pause before they hear you, then sound polite and smiley but immediately then try to impose and intimidate with their fake sales spiel patter. Utter Bull, Do not bother answering.
