Rude Asian man telling me about a problem with my computer. His supervisor called me back and asked why I had been rude to his staff. I told him that he was rude by saying that he would put a block on my computer and I would have to pay to get it working again. The 3rd call was just shouting at me in a foreign language. Calls 4 and 5 were silent but I could hear the same people in the background.

These people obtain, STEAL, your tel. number from your ip address via metadata. Ever come accross annoying adverts when browsing online which doesn t let you close? ie. Engadget, youtube etc... We have been called from this number by somebody claiming to be from British Gas, about an outstanding invoice. As out invoices are regularly paid on time, this is a scam to try and get card details for payment.

I received a call from a man with a very strong accent claiming to be from BT to help speed up our broadband. The fact that he greeted me saying ?hi I?m Martin? then 5 minutes later told me his name was John Wilson, was a huge red flag. I can confirm that this is a scam call number as I called the real BT to confirm the number was not affiliated with them. Do not give out any information or allow these scammers access to your computer!
