Or maybe they just work in the UK? I too didn t get far in the conversation before this actually nice lady hung up. I was also just curious about how they got my number. Easy answer really but hanging up to me was a sign that perhaps they aren t so legitimate. Oh well.

Received a call today on my landline. Caller was brusk, impolite and there was lityle or no preamble. Asked me questions about aims and values of Labour Party, why I became a member and reg d voter. Clearly knew that I was one. Asked if I d received ballot. I said I had and had voted. Didn t say for who. Asked if I had voted Lab at last GE or someone else. The conversation was VERY impersonal and only after the call did I think that it was a call I shouldnt have received and questions I should not

Another firm selling Green energy wanting to know if I can benefit from Government funding. Told them I was on TPS

Indian/Pakistani sounding clearly calling from a call centre not in the U.K. as he had me on speaker phone and could hear him speaking with someone else as I answered the call. He asked for someone I don’t know. I told him I didn’t know the person and he got rude and aggressive with me before hanging up. I’ve blocked the number.

Got a cold call from this number. The caller had a Welsh accent and said he was calling from the company Insure For Less. He wanted to discuss home insurance with me, but I said I wasn t interested and asked to be taken off their call list. What do you know, they called again the next day as though I would change my mind. Very annoying!

Two weeks four days later - they've just called again. Luckily didn't hear my phone ring so no time wasted by them!

This number called today and I didn t have time to Google it before answering. Said they were from American Express, only asked for half my postcode and they knew the type of card I held and how long I have had it. I went on their website a few days ago and have been calling, texting and emailing since. They try to get you in by offering region specific free solar panel and then when they call they are trying to get you to take out a loan for the solar panelling. there is no way to stop them from texting you but i blocked email and calls from my mobile. Don t do what I did folks. If they ask for your post code and telephone number, DON T DO IT and enquire else where.
