I had the same experience as Dani. I d cut them off as they couldn t give me any details of our BT account when they said that our internet was about to be cut off. I phoned BT and they confirmed that our internet service was ok and the call was probably a scam. I have now blocked this number

SCAM SPAM Fraud phone call as others have claimed that they pretend to be from O2 (probably trying to take advantage of the Virgin media/O2 partial merger) or hang up instantly. They don't leave voicemails or attempt more than once as it's an automated machine going through a number list.

Tried to call back and withheld my number, they either didn t answer or hung up without speaking. Wanted to see what they said. Guess they don t like private numbers.
SCAM Do not pass anything, Do not answer, it's an automated answer machine. Saying your Vodafone will be out of service, press for English or Chinese. Then speaks Chinese. I automatically hanged up without pressing anything due to me not being with Vodafone and all of it sounded so weird, fake and scam. DO NOT ANSWER NOR PASS ANYTHING

SCAM This is some kind of mobile phone marketing operation and is probably a scam.They're using numbers harvested online and claiming to be in possession of some (entirely fictitious) Covid-19 funding, supposedly to specifically reduce phone bills for companies.It is probably advisable not to venture any private or financial information to these people and indeed best to just hang up.
Received an abandoned call on 22/03/2023. I called back and they immediately knew my name as they could see my number (despite it being withheld). After much persuasion on my part, they told me they were DIRECT AFFINITY EUROPE and had been given my details by a Hull motor dealer (D.M. Keith) to chase a 'lost sale'. But I had told D.M Keith that my number should never be passed to any third party!
Calls 5-6 times a week. Recorded message with a to stop receiving calls from us press 8 message at the end which clearly doesn t work.

Purporting to be Inland Revenue; obviously not. A recorded message - robotic female voice - asking to phone Dennis something and not to ignore call. Indian accented chap answered with 'Inland Revenue' or similar, clearly bogus. Unsettling.

SCAM - call regarding investment opportunities I had signed up for via a website. Except I have never given out my mobile number as it is only used as a emergency number for my elderly parents ( who don’t have internet connection) requested that the number is removed from their system.
