Just received a call from this number but on answering all I got was the continuous disconnected/unobtainable sound. Having seen comments on this site the number is obviously from some sort of call centre so I have now blocked the number using my BT call p

These people claimed they had a cheque for me but I needed to pay £500 cash up front had to be paid by purchasing iTunes vouchers and giving them the numbers! I did this then following day they asked for a further £650 cash when I said I hadn't got the money the man got very rude and aggressive! Ended up putting the phone down on me. Tried ringing back they kept hanging up! Lost £500 and have no way of tracing the company either!
At 11:34 am today, a foreign sounding man saying he was from UK Government Grants Department said I had been randomly chosen to receive an £8000 grant to be used for any purpose. This was because I am supposedly a model UK citizen having paid all my taxes
