Overseas Scam

Asking about my recent accident (I haven t had!). Put phone down on me when I said I hadn t had one! Block them!

I am being bombarded with insurance claims calls at the moment to my mobile phone that I use for business calls. This number has rung me twice, 1 week apart and nobody has been on the end of the line. TPS have registered my number so I should not be getting silent calls.

They hung up when answered.

Looks like no one but no one has a good word to say about Binachi or its miserable family, and that includes me. Even his staff ridicule them when they do deliverys. Some even take a kick back to recommend other firms even if there more expensive. Aint it true mooooreeen

Claimed to be researching shopping habits for Havering Borough Council (well they certainly got the council right)would I take part. I said no thank-you and hung up. TPS waste of time

claimed to be from CAH but cant find anything on search, have rang several times, very annoying.

Back again, they phoned my mobile yesterday and today my landline. Local garage had my contact numbers 2 years ago when I bought a car. In the past has just been postal advertising. The number is in Runcorn so misrepresentation of fact! Answered the phone with what are you selling, told them not to phone again as I don t want to buy a car. Must be a call centre in Runcorn, annoyed that local garage has sold or is using contact details for reasons beyond the original sale!!!

The "Do Not Call List" is only effective against legal firms that have a legal footprint where they can be prosecuted. "The Caller Id" means nothing because they can type in anything they want, for ant or every phone call, so there s no legal significants to it. They are so illegal they don t care about anything you have to say. They only value info they can use to access accounts with money in them. Or scare you or your relatives into sending them money. Phoning persistently over the past few days from different numbers. Some kind of survey scam, but they hang up as soon as you deviate from script. If they call, don t give away any personal info: don t even confirm your name. Instead, try to politely find out their company name and address. Then send details to offcom / TPS / your MP etc (perhaps with a similar level of persistence?), until someone does something. It s just an idea. Good luck!

Repeated calls yesterday. Told to stop and then two calls so far today, one at 07:30.Said they were from the telephone preference service. What a joke!!
