Just been called by this number. I am a receptionist for an Opticians, and they said they were from HMRC, and wanted to speak to the owner of the company regarding research. Said they wished to speak to the person who does the Income Tax for the company. I said my boss was unavailable, and could I give her a message and a number to contact them on. I used the number on the back of my card instead and while there were fraudulent payments on my card. Halifax sorted it but I believe it was a fishing call to get more information so they could use my card
