SCAM Fortunately, I have TruCaller home phone so pushed it straight to the "waiting" queue and as they didn't leave a message or say who was calling did not route through to the actaual phone ring. I already had this number blocked on my Mobile and in Malwarebytes as it claimed to be from BT saying there was a problem with my broadband... when I mentioned that I worked for BT as a fault engineer they immediately hung up :)

Project solar apparently, they ring off so many different numbers is just hard to block them all and know them all. I have actually taken the time out to speak to them to let them know i am not interested but they still ring anyway. and trouble is they just wait for you to answer then hand up?
Well this is some landline from Manchester area, I couldn't find any info for this specific number, but there are two facts : people do search for this number which can be seen from different similar pages, and there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. Similar numbers are reported with PPI and insurance marketing. People pls did someone answer this number, can you confirm?

This is one of those "you ve been in an accident" scam calls. Don t answer it.
SCAM / SPAM Called regarding an insurance claim i had made. Had information about the date of my accident, the cars registration and that it was written off. Said i was entitled to £1000 for minor injuries, as soon as i said i was fine and no one else was in the car they hung up on me.
Yet another foreign caller who puts down the phone when answered, its bad enough the dozens of unwanted e-mails received from these people, but the put down calls are maddening

This number calls me from what appears to be a local line and knew me by name. The guy on the phone told me they'd been informed of "a recent car accident i had..." and that's where I cut him off. Told him I have had no such thing, he was pushing spam calls and to remove me from the system, I also told him I am registered with the telephone preference service and he should not be contacting me. I then hung up. He called straight back and when I answered ready to give him more of an earful he hung
