SCAM/SPAM. I was called on the 26/08/20 by this number. The caller said they were from SKY (my TV, telephone and broadband provider). He informed me that he was ringing to test my modem and improve its performance. He asked me to type a few commands which included the word “SKY”. He then asked me to permit remote access. Had a feeling this was ADT, haven t confirmed it but the comments seem to strongly indicate ADT. On top of the 0161 code. Just rang now at 3.19 in the morning, about five to six rings before I d even got to it, and then stopped. Alarm not going off, and it is for our house so would like to know why they rang in the wee hours when we re sleeping.
SPAM they state from LD marketing - but company doesn't exist. Rang up saying I agreed to a marketing campaign and owe them £300 for schools. No record of this. SPAM!!

SCAM Sent SMS including a link. Said I had missing census information and not updating this may result in £1000 fine. Said for me to click the link to update information to avoid having to pay any fines in future. I clicked the link but phone detected the link as unsafe and sent me a full red screen reading: “DECEPTIVE WEBSITE DETECTED” and gave me a choice to proceed or to go back to previous page. Don’t be fooled like I was! You may not be so lucky as to dodge the negative consequences like I was!
Repeatedly called by Wills UK despite never having given permission and having told them not to call me ever again. When you call them on this number, you get a recording saying that they will call you back and press 1 to remove your number. It doesn t, and they call you over and over again.

Blocked this number and have had 31 notifications since the beginning of March that this number has attempted to call me.
This number rang me saying I had been in an accident last year and my number was on the accident database. The guy called Jason then said there was an unclaimed payment due to me from the otherside s insurance company. I ve had no accident and no one owes me any money. I hate these calls!!!
AMAZON - I have been called this morning in regards to suspending my Amazon account as I have a transaction of more than £1000 on the account. This is spam and fraud.

This number was a representative from a Greenpeace call agency. I checked with Greenpeace to validate this call and they confirmed it. They were asking for a direct debit payment after acquiring my number from a petition I signed. The service was friendly and informative and not malicious unless you don't like charity pressure calling.

I got a text from what looked like my bank (Santander), saying a lot of money was being taken from my account. It gave this number 03333443057 to call. I called, and they answered HSBC ! I said I thought I was calling Santander, they said I work for both banks (yeah, right!). I said let me have your name and department, I ll call my bank and ask to be put through to you, at which point they promptly hung up.

21 Oct 2021 - This call left a message stating my National Insurance number was under fraud investigation and would be blocked and any assets frozen unless I press 1 and speak to an advisor. My advice would be if anyone even thought it was real to call HMRC first and speak to real authorities.Reply
