I've had a call from this number claiming they are from my bank Halifax, i notice the area code is Halifax but i'm not sure if this is a scam call.

This number rang me saying I had been in an accident last year and my number was on the accident database. The guy called Jason then said there was an unclaimed payment due to me from the otherside s insurance company. I ve had no accident and no one owes me any money. I hate these calls!!!

SCAM Didn't actually receive a call, but an advertising card popped through my door today offering part-time work delivering leaflets. Good money paid, apparently. The email address shown was 'bakoos.in' suggesting that it was based in India, however it appears to be a Russian phone number! The Royal Mail's website cannot find any reference to the phone number, so to my mind it is a serious attempt at a scam and is best avoided.
SCAM/SPAM. I was called on the 26/08/20 by this number. The caller said they were from SKY (my TV, telephone and broadband provider). He informed me that he was ringing to test my modem and improve its performance. He asked me to type a few commands which included the word “SKY”. He then asked me to permit remote access. I am trying to find out who this number is, it was supposedly related to a PPI claim of mine but I have tried calling back and there is no reply !
