My husband has unfortunately been duped by this company - Clearview partnership. Purported to be Virgin Media reviewing your account to provide the best possible service. They fail on DPA/GDPR as don't seem to understand the principles of validating they are speaking to the account holder. They don't have access to account information such as account numbers, billing area codes etc.

I recieved a ohone call from this number, I checked the numberchec w it 174, but when I called it, I was told there was no such number.
Tried to call them back as missed call while driving. They don't answer and have no voice mail. Weird.
SCAM / SPAM said was Halifax bank and my account had been used by western union to send money to India , hung up but kept ringing me I checked with bank and confirmed scam number
When I picked up the phone a female voice talked gibberish for 5 seconds then the line went dead.
The PEST is: Domestic & General :( They are a cold-calling pest phishing for new Loft Insulation contracts. I have automated calls on a daily basis for 2 months now - 3 rings and they hang up - never leaving a message. I wish the government would provide the regulators with some teeth to prosecute all these highly persistent phone pests making MULTIPLE nuisance calls. I changed my number relatively recently to avoid this, and I m ex-directory and I ve "opted out" so they should check before they call.
