SCAM It's an automated call saying my name was being investigated for tax evasion in the HMRC and they asked to press 1 If I wanted to know more about it. I ended the call immediately.

They ring up every week asking if you?ve updated your gas and electric meters to smart meters. I have with another company but if I say that they go on to ask about who it?s with etc. Don?t know about trustworthiness or not because I?ve never heard of their company other than them calling me. We have been charged by BT 7 times since January. I contacted BT in April, who insisted we made the calls. We don t know who this persons is, have never called them. Eventually they said they would take it up with Complaints. Nothing heard. Our latest BT bill shows two payments for this number - about to complain yet again. Is it significant that the calls are always 24p.

Fraud received text to say that I have authorised Mr Jones payment £240.00, checking with this site shows the text was from Russia and I don't know any one there and I have not authorised any payment to anyone therefore be careful of these scam.
SCAM Derek in a foreign voice from 'Virgin Media' calling about our slow internet connection over WiFi. We have 6 devices connected to it. He wanted me to use my mobile to download an app on play store called Quicksupport and he had a code ready to put in once downloaded. I did not do it and ended the call.

I usually find if it stops ringing after 4 or 5 rings it s a cold caller.
Accepted the call but didn t say anything, the automated system waits for the word "Hello" before reeling off their rubbish to you. The call stayed silent before cutting itself off. Added this number, along with a few others, to my SPAM entry in my address book.
