I know many people who will no longer answer their landline unless they recognise the callers number. It is businesses like IJT, boiler-room scams and PPI Claim companies who have changed the telephone from a useful tool and friend into a nuisance ridden pain in the arse. Well done everyone!

Silent call when the phone is answered and then the line goes dead.

Caller claimed to be from Talktalk legal dept in London, despite being Birmingham number. Said they needed to connect me to their server to investigate illegal access from abroad. Tried to talk me through downloading Teamviewer and give him the ID and password! Rang off when I said I would report to police.

Have had 4 phone calls this morning. 3 went dead when picked up. 1 was answer machine message about subscription to amazon and asked me to press 1 to cancel and 2 to discuss options. I put the phone down. Has anyone else had these calls?

Almost certainly a scam call. These calls use spoofed numbers, originate outside the UK and are untraceable. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION to a caller. NEVER RETURN A CALL and ...

Same again...How many more times do I need to tell them we are happy with our timeshare.. Now blocked but no doubt they will try from another number.

Missed two calls from this number while I was in USA and not picking up unknown calls.

Called using someone elses phone number but asking for me by name. By coincidence I happened to answer this call. Hope Frontline are reading this, as if I receive another phone call, I will be visiting Unit 24 in Halifax to see Frontline, and that is something they would not want to happen

Very strong Indian accent and difficult to understand. Not in my contacts so hung up. number now blocked after reading numerous reports that this is a scam.

Called earlier today. Didn t pick up as I didn t recognise the number. Whomever it was didn t leave a message, I expect it was either the Amazon or Microsoft scam.

This number just called me, when I picked up the call but said nothing, it hung up after 2-3 seconds. Scam/malicious.
