Probably building to a scam, claimed to be BT a UK telephone provider investigating illegal activity on my internet, when I inquired as to who might be doing illegal things the caller suggested probably foreigners! The call was made at 7am in the morning to a private number, land line and one only known to family members.

Received missed call at 18:50 which in itself is strange for a business. When I called it back there was a Click, and then a holding Jingle music started playing, as if I'd been transferred to another line. I ended the call after about 10secs. I would consider it spam

Has regularly called each day for some weeks but never leaves a voicemail. I never take 08 calls as I feel they re notorious for belonging to folks looking to do some sort of business or wanting to make money from me in some way - I shall be the one to choose who I engage and intend to pay for ANY service, and not the person who happens to come across my number somehow. SCAM and potential fraud – automatic voice message claimed they were calling regards an “HMRC fraud in my name” (name not specified) and asking me to connect to an agent by pressing '1', and that if I didn't then a warrant would be issued for my arrest.

Accident claims experts ...according to their records I had a road accident 2 years ago which left me unable to work!?! Told them I hadn t but if they insist on numerous phone calls to tell me then feel free to send me the compo cheque as I could do with the dosh, at which point they became quite abusive and hung up. Location says Trafalgar Square London but possible rerouted there from Indian scam call centres. Each time I order from Amazon I have scammers try to steal my cash! Reported to Amazon they did nothing at all! BEWARE
