Had this number, 01619390228 call me a few times recently, they don t let the phone ring very long, have never left a voice message and on trying to call the number I get an engaged tone, will try to get to my phone quicker next time to answer, reckon it s a scam call, shouldn t be allowed !! I believe this number is being used by scam callers. I received a text inviting me to call back, purporting to be from HSBC about a potential fraudulent payment. I would suggest that any recipient ignores any calls or texts from this number. Since it is a premium number any return calls will be outside normal free call packages. HSBC always use free call numbers if they request someone to call back.
Claimed to be inland revenue. Automated message saying my name is being investigated for fraud. Asked me to press 1 to continue. Ignored and hung up. Advise everyone to do same.

I keep receiving calls from this number despite blocking it - they sometimes phone up to five times a day! They always ask for Andrew, the idiot who must have mistyped his mobile number when downloading a report or who knows what from this "financial" crowd. I ve asked them politely to remove my number from their database ... to no avail. I ve said I m going to report them to the police if they keep calling me, which usually makes them put down the phone if I don t beat them to it!

Tried a free app called call zapper today! I m sure there s loads similar ones available too! Answer silently (you have to be somewhere quiet!) then press home button and really quickly open the app then hit the FAX button and it plays the fax tone down the line to them! Let s see if it results in my number being deleted from their database! Give it a try and post up here how you get on!! PS It s not my app or anything (!) just sharing something I hope will work! JL
