SCAM Automated message telling me it was HMRC and there was a fraud case against me, that I must press 1 immediately otherwise I would be arrested shortly. I assume pressing 1 would have taken me through to a high charge phone number or something similar. Very unsettling, and could easily catch the less savvy off guard.
Call 3 times a day. I ve now blocked this number but I see from the blocked call list they are still calling 3 times a day. So glad for call blocker. Hopefully one day they will give up.

Automated voice saying it's regarding a transaction on my Amazon account, order for over 1k using the card that has been used recently. It was asking me to press 1 if it is me placing the order or 2 if it's not. Obviously I hang up. Clearly a scam.

I'm in West Yorkshire and this is one of the increasing landline robo calls, originating from the south of England, I've been receiving in November 2020. Where it rings, there's no one there if I answer and if it goes to voice message, no message is left.

28 Nov. 2022 (17:33) a chap with Indian accent called me claiming to be from BT to say that my computer may have been compromised and that he could check that for me if I switched it on and he ran a quick check. Complete nonsense of course and an attempted scam. He said he was calling from London but the area code is Falkirk (Scotland).

Originally, I ask for consultation for a personal website by mistake and Arial made sure that I got to the right department and reschedule me an appointment with Commerce-redesign on the same day. Keep getting called about 3 or 4 times a day from this number others: 01254 470023, 01329 734023, 01329 734023, 01337 59023, 01545 624023. Everytime they call i ignore them and block them. They keep ringing from a different number. Reported to ofcom - not stopped yet.

Says it’s from Royal Mail. I can’t verify if it’s real or not.
Claimed they are from national crime agency and that they are after for illegal activity, they never stated my name or where I was from or what exactly I done that is illegal ... strangely. I doubt they are who they said they are as if it was them they would have stated my full name as well as the crime I apparently have done... stay away from this number as they could very well hack your phone if you agree to press 1 to stay on the line ...
This is the third time that my party of 30 have stayed at the Danum and that says it all. We returned because we liked it.The staff are very helpful and the recent refurbishmen...

TAXES / HMRC Automated message. Had similar before. “This is HMRC. You are under investigation for tax fraud. Press 1 immediately to speak to your case officer. Failure to do so immediately will result in a warrant being issued for your arrest.....” I did not press 1, so cannot say what happens if one does.
