A call from Carphone warehouse, using a LOCAL code - ie - 01324 trying to deceive you into thinking it s a local call. You answer, and it s OBVIOUSLY a CALL Centre (by all the noise in the background) and on questioning the guy, is clearly NOT in the Falkirk area. This type of local call is being used more and more.

Called to say I had orderd a new sim card, told him I hadn t, he said he was from O2, and that they could save me money, told him that I had the best tariff, He had an irish accent, and then OK and hung up. Dont think this is o2.

Most likely phishing? Who knows? Just opened the damn thing by mistake! Says received one new photo from zokobo.com with a link, just deleted it, don t know exactly how someone who knows me well enough to send a photo 1. Wouldn t spell my name right 2. Wouldn t send it by email! Hacked off with this almost it seems constant intrusion of unknown quantities...

Keeps calling me. sometimes there is a caller on the end and sometimes there isnt.

This was almost certainly a call from a scammer. These calls which use spoofed numbers, originate outside the UK and are untraceable. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION to a caller ...

Missed call and they supposedly left a voicemail (but didn t). Assume this was yet another PPI call. Argghhh!

NEVER allow anyone to access your computer. If you do they will steal your personal information or plant a keylogger that will allow then to read everything you type.

I got a text from what looked like my bank (Santander), saying a lot of money was being taken from my account. It gave this number 03333443057 to call. I called, and they answered HSBC ! I said I thought I was calling Santander, they said I work for both banks (yeah, right!). I said let me have your name and department, I ll call my bank and ask to be put through to you, at which point they promptly hung up.

This number has been calling my landline approx. 7-8 times a day for the past 5 days. I always check 0844 numbers before I answer, so I have been ignoring this once I saw the negative comments left on this site. How can I stop them calling altogether?

I have received 3 calls per day, from various numbers across the UK, following an accident in November (6 months). They all know my registration number, and date of accident, enough to pretend they are working on behalf of my insurer. THEY ARE NOT!
