I had a call this afternoon apparently from this number 08000234567, which I know is the number of the Financial Ombudsman's Office, when the caller said he was from the fraud dept of my bank. I had called the Financial Ombudsman earlier in the day on that number. It did not feel right and when I challenged the caller he put down the phone. Somebody may be able to pick up the numbers of those who have called the FOO? I will tell the FOO by email as their phone system takes too long to get through!

Called and asked for very confidential information. I caught the scam and didnt give it to them. They are a danger to society and a threat to children. I am not free to reveal any more details but beware of this number.

Unable to answer the original call a voice message was left to call this number back. The voice message did not state the company involved but required an anti-fraud check. This was a 'genuine' number, but the questions were probing and having given my contact number after questions to verify myself I was asked for the last 4 digits of that contact number already given, there were too many disconnected questions that could be joined up for other fraud. I terminated the call. Supposedly Barclaycard.

Claiming to be Santander bank and to follow link. Undoubtedly a scam.

SCAM. Came up as local number supposedly we had an iPhone delivery due to us which we haven’t. Recorded message asking for £500 so we hung up. Don’t answer this number.

Persistently calling the last couple of digits of the number change to like 5176 or 5274 or 5175 etc. They call at antisocial hours eg Sunday mornings etc. I suspect, although I never answer, that they’re some kind of debt collector for councils.

Received call from Automated message claiming to be HMRC chasing TAX and would start legal action soon if nothing is received, press 1 to speak to an officer. Checked HMRC, portal, email and letters and nothing wrong. Appears to be a scam but cannot confirm due to HMRC not working Saturdays :/

They said they were calling from HMRC adout a returned tax letter and that I was going to be prosecuted.

Scam recording from my visa card Co advising 2 fraud transactions for big amts, called my card Co from no on bk of my card and no transactions have taken place, be careful all especially the elderly, try use a credit card at all times then transfer from Yr debit card to pay it, never take out he house Yr debit card, as bank don't always reimburse u for fraud, the credit card Co will if you have shown you took care reporting any suspicious activity and were careful with Yr details online. Looks like another Scam or Fraud as I'm not due any delivery's and the Post Office leave a card through your door when they can't get an answer, also I was in the whole day, I have reported the text message and number to the Ofcom scam text number: 7726 must be the 7th number I've reported now since I found the number to report scams to. Based in Manchester, uses names like Peter Munrreo, Frank Maccallan. Tells you calling from Stepchange but they arent. Please report to action fraud and block numbers.

Got a call from this number saying that someone was trying to take money from my account for betting in America and to press 1 on my receiver, which I obviously didn't. Sounded dodgy

Received a call from this number.. recorded message of woman’s voice saying it was from Bank security.. That my bank had a request from Amazon for £200+ and bank transfer for £700+ and to cancel press a digit. This number came up as 2 sets of numbers, one was a long number, and another this one I am reporting below it(that is what alerted me) when ringing.
