Asked me to confirm details which I wasnt willing to do and then tried to sell me the old ppi speech said I wasnt interested and then hung up. Caller then decided to keep phoning me back to which I ignored 6 times I then added the number to autoblock and it was another 14 times. ignore this caller.

called this morning to say that £500 had been removed from my Visa account . Had this call a few times before.

Really weird, rang and asked for my daughter whom banks with co-op. Left her a message asking her to call 08448448899 ASAP as there was a problem with her account. She rang them later and they had no record of anyone calling her nor was there any problem with her account.

Would not tell me what they wanted, they said it was in regards to a debt but would not let me continue the call without giving them my full address which I refused obviously. Would not tell me the nature of the debt either.

Woman called and stated that she is from Alpine Services. She said that she was informed that I recently had a car accident and whether this was correct. I said "no" and hung up. Mind you, I don t even have a driver s license for UK and certainly no car.

Called to say I had been working in a factory in Blackburn and had health issues. I asked what details they hold and specify the health issues - they could only confirm the name and mobile number. Very rude person & called back numerous times.

I can assure everyone it is Vodafone, it s a Rotherham code number 01709 , that is where the company Webhelp is based. Webhelp have a various of campaigns there, Vodafone being one of the best. I know this myself because I work there.. we only ask questions to do with your current account because we need you to confirm it, meaning we already now it. Still don t believe me?.. Look the number up on the Vodafone website instead of some lame little blog.

Anglian home improvements. Not a sales call apparently but offering a substantial discount on any external home improvement. Called twice a day for 2 weeks straight before I answered.

Gentleman had the wrong name and was talking about my existing life insurance policy asked him to remove my number was told this isn t a sales a call its a review of my life insurance policy they did not work for my policy holder as they know to contact me on a different number and normal communication is via email but the simple fact is they are working of old information using my wifes maiden name for my surname really clever

Call from 01314414605 Asian male saying he was from Virgin Media Technical Department and my internet speed was sending warning messages and not running correctly. Was asked to do a speed test and download an app. He was adamant he was from Virgin Media although he could not give any of my details to me. Needless to say I hung up. Called Virgin Media who did a test down the line which did not show up any problems.

Hal s reply is spot on. If someone sends a text message to your landline and you don t pick up the phone it gets stored for you to retrieve later. This 0795 number is where you collect the message, plus the number of the mobile phone that sent the text. It s not dangerous. All depends on what the text message says, of course - that could be anything. In my case it was someone texting to say Sorry I Missed Your Call. See? Not dangerous.
