After not answering a spam call from 0161 336 7009, I received a further call from 0161 748 7009 one hour later. Again I didn't answer it, but think it odd that it follows ...

Very aggressive woman calling from this company, saying that I was owed money. Do not get involved.

A guy called Daren from Virgin Media. Deals with orders.

Female caller with an Asian accent rang from this number twice today. Said she was from Benefits UK. I asked who Benefits UK is, and she replied "A company", and wanted to ask me some questions, which would only take a couple of minutes. I replied that I do not answer questions over the phone, and she hung up. A couple of hours later, the number rang again, and my daughter answered. She told the caller that our number is ex directory and that we are TPS registered. Again, the caller hung up.

This company has called me several times over a period of months. After the first 3 calls I told them in no uncertain manner that I was fed up with their calls and not to call again. However the same number calls me regularly, despite the fact that I never answer now. Surely this is harassment?

This is the third time in the last week this company has called. Dont know why, never leave a message. I don't call back

Any ideas? Seems an odd number . I don t answer numbers I don t know but this one has intrigued me.

I bought a car from Bayliss Motors of Cheltenham and this was just a courtesy call. I didn't recognise the number so I checked it out before calling back. No problem.

The automated caller said my internet connection was being disconnected so I hung up without listening to any more. I have no internet problems

Since signing up for my first ever car insurance I now receive PI claims texts and now nuisance calls with no-one on the end from this company. Thanks Diamond for passing on my information without my permission!

Same, chatted me up on fb,searched his number and saw these comments.

Same SCAM again a different number (energy supplier) on no account give out any personal details. Trading Standards have already warned about this latest SCAM!

I know many people who will no longer answer their landline unless they recognise the callers number. It is businesses like IJT, boiler-room scams and PPI Claim companies who have changed the telephone from a useful tool and friend into a nuisance ridden pain in the arse. Well done everyone!

Genuine call from Halifax fraud prevention. They noticed someone in USA somehow used my card for a very small amount £4.24 (apparently they do this to see if it s accepted) They have cancelled my card and are sending a new one straight away. Excellent service from Halifax

Appeared to be usual tele-sales marketing call: answer phone and wait while caller connects to you instead of the dozen or so other numbers he is calling at same time. He eventually says "hello" - I say same and he immediately terminates the call. I suspect I was wrong gender. Just BLOODY RUDE!
